Kaushik Hirpara

Kaushik Hirpara is a full-stack developer and game reviewer at Unihfy Games, and gaming is the side of the site he spends most of his time on. He has worked on the majority of the games in the library, either building them or preparing existing ones to run on the platform.

Most of the games here were made by other developers and released under open-source licences, and many were built for desktop browsers years ago. Getting one onto a phone is rarely as simple as embedding it. Kaushik's work involves fixing viewport handling, replacing keyboard-only controls with touch input, adding on-screen controls where a game needs them, and testing the result across different screen sizes and orientations until it plays properly. Every game he has adapted is credited to its original author on our game credits page.

He plays each game before its page goes live. The descriptions, control lists, how-to-play instructions, feature summaries and frequently asked questions on the site come out of that time with the game rather than from its original documentation, which is often incomplete or out of date.

Alongside the games, he writes the gaming articles and guides — pieces about browser gaming, how games behave inside a browser, and what makes particular games worth playing. When a game page stops matching the game, he is usually the one who notices and corrects it.
