Five players, three lanes, one objective
The map is symmetrical, divided into three routes with a contested space between them, and every match ends the same way: one team destroys the structure at the heart of the other's base. Everything before that is positioning to make it possible.
Each of the five players occupies a defined position with a defined job, and one of them does not hold a lane at all, instead moving through the space in between and intervening where needed. That role is the one most often misunderstood by new viewers.
