FAQs
What are the 7 different pieces in Block Stacker?
The seven block shapes are the I-piece (cyan line), O-piece (yellow square), T-piece (purple T-shape), L-piece (orange L-shape), J-piece (blue reverse L), S-piece (green zigzag), and Z-piece (red zigzag). Each falls randomly during gameplay.
How do I rotate pieces?
Press the Up arrow key to rotate the falling piece counterclockwise. The game will only rotate if there's enough space, so position your piece strategically before rotating.
What happens when I complete a line?
When all 10 blocks in a horizontal row are filled, that line automatically clears and disappears. All pieces above fall down to fill the gap, and you'll hear a satisfying pop sound effect.
Can I speed up the falling pieces?
Yes! Press the Down arrow key to make the falling piece move faster. You can hold it down for continuous acceleration, or press Spacebar to drop the piece instantly to the bottom.
How do I win the game?
There's no winning in Block Stacker—the goal is to keep the game going as long as possible by strategically clearing lines and preventing pieces from stacking to the top.
What happens when I reach the top?
When a new piece spawns and can't fit because pieces are already stacked to the top of the board, the game ends. Click the Play button to start a fresh game.
Is there a scoring system?
This version focuses on classic Block Stacker gameplay mechanics with line clearing. The challenge is maximizing how many lines you can clear before the board fills up.
